CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - With a 22-13 win over Delaware Valley, the Coe wrestling team placed third at the NWCA National Duals.  The third-place finish beats last year's fourth place finish for the best in school history.
Junior Clayton Rush (Aledo, Ill./Aledo) started the match with a 21-9 major decision over Charlie Frankel at 125 pounds.  At 133 pounds, freshman Drew Hinschberger (Belle Plaine, Iowa/Belle Plaine) lost a 5-3 decision to Eric McCann.

At 141 pounds, sophomore Jordan Westfall (Riverside, Iowa/Highland) lost a 7-4 decision to returning Dale Fava.  Senior Mark Carey (Raytown, Mo./South) was defeated 4-2 by Emanual Ajagbe at 149 pounds.

Top-ranked Jesse Harrington beat ninth-ranked Dale Handley (Toddville, Iowa/Alburnett) 11-3.  Sophomore Nick LeClere (Coggon, Iowa/North-Linn) earned a win by forfeit at 165 pounds to start a string of five-straight wins by the Kohawks, giving them the win.

At 174 pounds Seth Rehn (Oceanside, Calif./Vista) defeated Dan Daddino 6-3.  Senior Tyler Burkle (Coggon, Iowa/North-Linn) kept the Kohawks going at 184 pounds with a 6-4 win over Brian Boudro.

Coe closed the meet with an 8-4 win by senior Rob Kramer (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) at 197 pounds and a 5-1 win by senior heavyweight Mitch Sander (Clarence, Iowa/North Cedar). 

The Kohawks return to action on Friday, as they host Loras.  The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Eby Fieldhouse.
