CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe (12-2, 3-0 IIAC) won its second and final home dual of the season with ease Friday night, as they beat Loras (5-9, 0-2 IIAC) 37-3 in front of a packed house at Eby Fieldhouse. The Kohawks held a 10-0 lead when Loras scored its only points of the match.

Clayton Rush (Aledo, Ill./Aledo) gave the Kohawks an early lead. The top-ranked wrestler at 125 pounds earned a 13-3 major decision over Pat Pfantz to start the meet. Freshman
Drew Hinschberger won by forfeit at 133 pounds, giving the Kohawks a 10-0 lead.
Loras earned its only win of the night at 141 pounds, as Matt Holmes rallied for a 9-7 win over freshman

Mark Carey (Raytown, Mo./South) put the Kohawks back on the winning track with a 10-4 win over Chris Gansen at 149 pounds. At 157 pounds, ninth-ranked
Dale Handley (Toddville, Iowa/Alburnett) won the first of back-to-back technical falls for the Kohawks. Handley beat Mitch Gansen 17-2 in 7:00 before top-ranked
Nick LeClere (Coggon, Iowa/North-Linn) beat Tiegen Podliska 21-5 in 6:11. The win improved to LeClere to 21-1 on the year.
Coe continued its domination at the end of the meet. Junior
Seth Rehn (Oceanside, Calif./Vista) was a 7-2 winner over Matt Dickman. Top-ranked senior
Tyler Burkle (Coggon, Iowa/North-Linn) improved to a Kohawk best 24-2 with a 15-5 major decision over Josh Kirkland at 184 pounds. Fifth-ranked
Rob Kramer (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) was a 14-2 winner over Alex Grafft at 197 pounds. Senior
Mitch Sander (Clarance, Iowa/North Cedar) finished the match with a 5-2 win over Jeremy Klein, as Sander improved to 21-1.
The Kohawks will have the week off before facing #2 Wartburg, #22 Dubuque and Simpson next Saturday at the Iowa Conference duals in Waverly.
