DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe women's track and field team earned 10 top-four finishes at the Dubuque Invite Saturday, giving them a fourth-place finish as a team. The men had two fourth-place finishes, as they finished seventh.
Coe dominated the first event of the day, as
Alisa Denny took first in the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 8.79.
Michelle Moorehead joined her with a fourth-place finish in 8.99. Denny also placed fourth in the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.66.
Just like the 55-meter hurdles, Coe took first and fourth in the 600-meter run.
Keelie Finnel was first in 1:37.46, while
Sara Heizer was fourth in 1:42.59. Finnel was also first in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 26.62. The Kohawks also had two relay teams finish in the top three. The 4x200 meter relay was second in 1:49.79, while the 4x400 meter relay team was third in 4:14.68.
Coe also had two fourth-place finishes in field events.
Kristen Blodgett was fourth in the pole vault with a height of 2.75 meters, while
Cassandra Morigaki was fourth in the high jump, with a height of 1.57 meters.
On the men's side,
Kyle Heineman was fourth in the 3,000-meter run, finishing in 8:57.62.
Andrew Meyer placed fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 15.34 meters.
