CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Luther used a 17-2 run late in the game to seal a 50-45 win over the Kohawks.  Coe had three players score nine points, while only one player scored in double-figures in the game.
Luther jumped out to an 11-2 lead, but Coe quickly answered with a 10-3 run, cutting the lead to one.  The Norse would build their lead back up to seven, but Coe used an 8-0 run late in the half before the Norse hit a 3-point basket with :18 left in the first half to take a 23-22 lead into the locker rooms.

After the Norse scored the first two buckets of the second half, Coe went on a 12-2 run to take a five-point lead with 13:11 to play.  The Coe lead sparked a 17-2 run by the Norse over the next 7:26, as Coe never led again.  With 4:53 to go, Coe went on a 7-0 run, but couldn't get closer than three points.

Sophomore Jordan Cunningham (Mankato, Minn./East), junior Fred Rose (Maywood, Ill./Walther Lutheran) and sophomore Kevin Gaster (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) each led the Kohawks with nine-points.  Cunningham and Gaster each hit two 3-point baskets.  Junior Dan Borngraeber (Brookfield, Wis./East) and Gaster led Coe with five rebounds apiece.

Freshman David Mataloni (Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale) had a game-high three assists, while Borngraeber blocked two shots.  Cunningham, Mataloni and Rose each stole two passes.

Dane Larson was the only player to score in double-figures, as he had 15 points for Luther.
