DUBUQUE, Iowa - Coe's 16-0 run to start the second half wasn't enough Wednesday night, as Loras came away with a 71-63 win over the Kohawks.  The Duhawks were held without a field goal in the final five minutes, but were strong from the free throw line for the win.
Loras scored the first eight points of the game in just 1:35 to open things up, but Coe answered with six-straight of its own.  A 13-3 run by the Duhawks put them ahead 21-9 at the halfway point.  With 5:31 to play in the opening frame, the Kohawks cut the lead to seven points, but the Duhawks responded with a 10-3 run to close the first half, taking a 42-28 lead into the locker rooms.

In just 3:15, the Kohawks had scored 16-straight points to open the second half and take their first lead of the game.  Loras responded with an 11-1 run over the next 5:10 to give them a lead they would never give up.  Coe couldn't cut the lead to less than six the rest of the game.

Junior Alex Tatman (Humboldt, Iowa/Humboldt) had a team-high 12 points, while freshmen Garrett Cross (Spring Grove, Minn./Spring Grove) and Seth Light (Carlisle, Iowa/Carlisle) each added 10 points.  Junior Dan Borngraeber (Brookfield, Wis./East) had a team-high six rebounds, while freshman David Mataloni (Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale) had three assists and two steals.  Tatman added two steals as well.

Coe will return to action next Wednesday, as they travel to Waverly to take on Wartburg.  Tipoff is  scheduled for 8 p.m.
