WAVERLY, Iowa - Wartburg jumped out to an 8-0 lead to start the game and used a 7-2 run to open the second half as they beat Coe 90-83 Wednesday night at Levick Arena.  Coe's 83 points were its highest scoring output of the season.
With 2:52 to play in the first half, Coe went on a 9-2 run to tie the game for the first time.  The Knights hit a jumper with :35 left in the half to take a 42-40 lead into the locker rooms.  Sophomore Ryan Baade (Havelock, Iowa/Pocahontas) hit a layup :25 into the second half to tie the game, but Wartburg used another big run, this time scoring seven straight points.

The Kohawks return to action on Saturday when they host Simpson.  Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Eby Fieldhouse.
