ELSAH, Ill. - Three Kohawks finished in the top eight in two events at Saturday's final session of the Liberal Arts Championships, hosted by Principia College.  In all, the Kohawks turned in five of the top times in school history at the meet.
In the first event of the final session, junior Kelsie Rehn (Oceanside, Calif./Vista) finished second in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:22.64.  Her time was the third best in school history.

On the men's side, Peter Curran (Afton, Minn./St. Thomas Academy) was seventh in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:06.57.  Freshman Aaron Babbitt (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Catholic) placed eighth in 2:22.37 in the same event.  Both Curran and Babbitt's times were faster in the finals than the prelims.

Earlier in the meet, Curran swan a 1:47.85 in the 200 freestyle.  His time was the second fastest in school history, while missing a 26-year old record by nearly a second.

Along with her top-five time in the 1650 free, Rehn added top-five times in the 500 free and 1,000 free during the Liberal Arts Championships.  Her time of 5:21.52 in the 500 free is the third fastest in school history, while her 11:05.15 in the 1,000 free is the fourth fastest.

On the diving board, freshman Rebecca Herman (Iowa City, Iowa/West) recorded a score of 351.60 on the one-meter diving boards.  Her score was the fourth best in school history.
