Keelie Finnel (Francis Creek, Wis./Mischicot) and senior
Krystal Jackson (Arlington, Texas/Lamar) were crowned All-Americans Friday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Finnel competed in the 400-meter dash, while Jackson was in the high jump.
Finnel entered the meet with the fifth fastest time in the nation. She surpassed her season-best time of 56.95 with a 56.62, which was the second fastest time of the meet and of the season. She advanced to the finals, scheduled for 2:05 p.m. Saturday, while earning All-American honors. Finnel won her heat and was the only one of the five Iowa Conference participants in the event to advance to the finals.
Jackson had the fourth highest jump in the nation at 5' 7" entering Friday's championships. Her height of 5' 5 1/4" on Friday placed her sixth, earning All-American honors.
With 2.5 points, Coe sits in 20th place entering Saturday's final events as a team.
