MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - All nine Kohawk hitters tallied multiple hits Wednesday night, as Coe rolled to a 19-6 win over Iowa Conference rival Cornell. Coe finished with 22 hits, while three players had three or more hits, led by junior Ryan Schisler's (Morrison, Ill./Morrison) four hits.

Coe raced to a 7-0 lead in the first three innings, thanks in part to a five-run first frame. Sophomore Adam Nisenson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) doubled to left field to start the game. Senior Pat Richmond (Algonquin, Ill./Algonquin) followed with a walk. With one out, Schisler singled to bring in Nisenson and advance Richmond to second. Junior Ryan Velvick (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) hammered his fifth home run over the center field fence, plating Richmond and Schisler in the process. Junior Kevin Schuver (Marion, Iowa/Marion) followed Velvick's home run with his third homer of the year to left field.

With one out in the second inning, freshman Nick Stein (Scottsdale, Ariz./Horizon) launched his 10th home run of the season to left field. Stein became just the seventh player in school history to have 10 or more home runs in a season.

Coe earned another single run in the third inning. Senior Jacob Schwind (Burlington, Iowa/Notre Dame) struck out swinging, but advanced to first on a wild pitch. Freshman Kaileb Armbruster (DeSoto, Mo./DeSoto) doubled down the left field line, putting two runners in scoring position. Coe loaded the bases as sophomore Scott DeAngelis (Clinton, Iowa/Clinton) walked. Coe scored the lone run of the inning as Nisenson grounded out to second, plating Schwind.

After two scoreless innings by the Kohawks, and two runs from the Rams in the third, Coe was back on the scoreboard in the sixth inning. Schisler singled to shortstop to start the sixth inning. A single to left field by Velvick moved Schisler to second. With two outs, Armbruster walked to load the bases. Coe's two runs in the inning came off a double to left center by DeAngelis, as Velvick and Schisler scored.

The Kohawks added an additional two runs in the seventh inning. With one out, Stein, Schisler and Velvick walked in succession. Following a pitching change for Cornell, Schuver hit a sacrifice fly to left field, plating Stein. Schwind then singled to left field, plating Schisler.

Entering the eighth inning, Coe held an 11-5 run, but broke things open in what would be the final frame. The first five Kohawks to bat earned a hit in the inning, while Coe went through the entire order before the Rams were able to get an out.

DeAngelis tripled to right center to start the inning. A single to left field by Nisenson plated DeAngelis. Richmond singled to left, forcing the Rams to bring in their fifth pitcher of the night. Stein then doubled off the right field fence, plating Nisenson and moving Richmond to third. Schisler drove in two more runs with a single to right field, allowing Richmond and Stein to score. Schisler moved to second as Velvick reached on an error by the shortstop, ending the Rams' 38 inning streak without an error.

Schuver kept the scoring alive for the Kohawks, driving in Schisler on a double to center field. Schwind singled to center field to score Velvick, while Schuver moved to third. The first out of the inning came as Armbruster reached on a fielder's choice, plating Schuver in the process. With two outs, Nisenson singled to center field. Richmond was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Following the final pitching change for the Rams, Stein was hit by a pitch to plate Armbruster.

Schisler led the Kohawks with four hits, while Nisenson and Schuver had three hits apiece. Schisler and Velvick led the Kohawks with four and three runs scored apiece, while Nisenson, Richmond and Schuver scored twice apiece. With his four runs, Schisler became the seventh player in school history to score over 100 runs. Stein, Schisler, Velvick and Schuver each had three RBI.

Senior Alec Lewis (Mesa, Ariz./Red Mountain) improved to 9-0 on the season with the win. He struck out 11 in seven innings of work. The win was the 22nd of Lewis' career, tying him with Steve Schnoebelen for the most in school history.

Coe returns to action on Friday, when they host the final three-game Iowa Conference series of the season. The Kohawks will host Luther at 3 p.m. Friday at Daniels Park.
