NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Two Kohawks provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships at the North Central Last Chance Meet. Coe also had three top-five finishes at the meet.
Junior
Sarah Anciaux (Iowa City, Iowa/City) provisionally qualified for the NCAA's in the shot put with a throw of 44' 8 1/4". She finished first in the event. Anciaux has already automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships with her performance last weekend at the IIAC Championships.
On the men's side, junior
Ryan Schroeder (Byron, Ill./Byron) provisionally qualified in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. He finished eighth in 9:20.18.
Coe also had two top-five finishes, as freshman Jared Kuehner (Center Point, Iowa/Center Point-Urbana) was fourth in the high jump with a height of 6' 5". The women's 4x100 relay team was fifth in 48.92.
The final selections for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be announced on Sunday.
