CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe beat Knox Wednesday night for the fourth-straight time at Eby Fieldhouse.  The Kohawks controlled the match from the beginning, taking the 3-0 sweep in the season opener.
In the 30th all-time meeting between the two schools, Coe earned its 21st win, while improving to 16-4 all-time against the Prairie Fire at Eby Fieldhouse.

Sophomore Elizabeth McDonnell (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) led the Kohawks with eight kills, while hitting .316.  Juniors Molly Steffens (Peosta, Iowa/Western Dubuque) and Kaitlin McClimon (DeWitt, Iowa/Central) added seven and five kills respectively. 

Sophomore Emily Ryan (Mt. Vernon, Iowa/Mt. Vernon) led the way with 23 assists.  Freshman Megan Barron (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) had a match-high four service aces.  Ryan added three, while McClimon had two. 

Ryan and Barron had 12 digs apiece, while sophomore Brittany Shickell (Nevada, Iowa/Nevada) had 11.  Steffens added 10, along with a match-high three solo blocks.

Coe returns to action this weekend as they travel to the Wisconsin-Stevens Point Invite.
