MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Coe placed two runners in the top 12 of a meet with over 300 entries, as they finished eighth as a team. In all, 30 teams participated in the meet with eight of them being ranked in the USTFCCCA regional polls.
Senior
Ryan Schroeder (Byron, Ill./Byron) led the Kohawks with a fifth place finish in 25:53. HIs time was a personal best, while it was the ninth fastest time in school history. It was also the third fastest by a Coe senior.
Senior
Kyle Heineman (Readlyn, Iowa/Wapsie Valley) turned in a 12th place finish in 26:18. His time was the 14th fastest in school history and the fourth fastest by a Coe senior.
Junior
Andrew Dewar (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) ran a 26:51 to finish 37th overall, while junior
Jordan Lord (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit) was 81st in 27:38. Senior
Hunter Hills (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) rounded out the Kohawk scoring with a 112th place finish in 28:21.
Coe returns to action Friday, as they host the Lamb-Kohawk Invite at 5:30 p.m. The meet will be held at Jones Park in Cedar Rapids.
