CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Sophomore's
Lisa Frank (Racine, Wis./Prairie) and
Jenny Snook (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) scored two goals apiece Saturday, as Coe earned its first Iowa Conference win. The Kohawks defeated visiting Buena Vista 5-0.
Frank started the scoring a little under halfway through the first period with her goal in the 24th minute. With an assist from senior
Justine Screws (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) and Snook, Frank had her third goal of the season. Just over a minute later, Frank got another assist from J. Screws for her second goal of the game.
The Kohawks added another goal just a minute later. This time, it was J. Screws on the scoring end with her sixth goal of the season. J. Screws scored her goal with an assist from her younger sister, junior
Sydney Screws (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson).
Coe added two goals midway through the second half, as Snook added both of them. Her second goal came on an assist from freshman
Courtney Rogers (Marion, Iowa/Marion).
Freshman
Jillian Reynolds (Iowa City, Iowa/City) earned her fourth win in the net, tallying two saves in 90 minutes.
The Kohawks return to action Sunday, as they travel to Grinnell to face the Pioneers.
