CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team got off to a great start to their season on Saturday winning all eighteen of their matches against conference opponents Central and Simpson.

The Kohawks won every set of tennis played on the day.

Coe's number one singles player, Molly Fiala (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) cruised in her singles matches, defeating Central's Hillary Baehr by a score of 6-0, 6-2 and blanking Simpson's Jackie Suckow 6-0, 6-0. Fiala teamed with Andrea Schupbach (Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus) to win twice at number one doubles.

Hillary Allen (Ft. Collins, Colo./Ft. Collins) blanked Faith Bliss from Central 6-0, 6-0, while Hannah Jensen (Iowa City, Iowa/West) defeated Jessica Nims from Simpson 6-0, 6-0.

Coe will resume action again next weekend when they host Grinnell, Illinois Wesleyan and Buena Vista on Saturday, September 6th, and again on September 7th against Cornell.
