
In doubles play against the Dutch, Coe jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play. Senior Molly Fiala (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) beat Hilary Baehr at number one singles 6-0, 6-2 and junior Andrea Schupbach (Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus) beat Kayla Donner 6-1, 6-0 at number two singles to seal Rodgers' milestone win.
The Luther match saw the Kohawks take a 2-1 lead after doubles, with wins coming at number one and three. Fiala again wasted no time in her singles match, beating Alana Humpal 6-3, 6-0. Schupbach picked up her fourth win of the day in a 6-1, 1-6, 1-0 (10-5) match against Fran Fairfield. Schupbach's win gave the Kohawks their third-straight Iowa Conference championship, as Hillary Allen (Ft. Collins, Colo./Ft. Collins) earned a 6-1, 6-0 win over Brynne Zinnecker at number four singles.
The Kohawks will return to action next weekend. Fiala and Schupbach will take part in the ITA National Doubles Tournament, while the rest of the team will participate in the Iowa Conference Individual Tournament.
