SAINT PETER, Minn. - Coe's number one women's double team of senior Molly Fiala (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) and junior Andrea Schupbach (Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus) picked up its biggest win of the year Sunday afternoon.

The duo scored an 8-4 win over top-seeded Megan Gaard and Samantha Frank from Gustavus. The win earns the pair an invite to the ITA National Doubles Tournament, to be held Oct. 16-19 at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama.

The third-seeded Kohawk pair beat fifth-seeded Erin Gudul and Kathryn Schmidt of Carleton 9-8 (7-6) in the semifinals.

In singles play, sophomore Hannah Jensen (Iowa City, Iowa/West) made her way to the finals, but was defeated 6-0, 6-1 by Kalla Schaefer of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Jensen earned a spot in the finals with a walkover win against top-seeded Jordan Hook of Wheaton. She defeated ninth-seeded Molly Eslick of Wartburg 6-1, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.

Jensen and sophomore Katy Delagardelle (Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus) made it to the doubles quarterfinals, where they were defeated by the top-seeded Gustavus team 8-6.

Coe returns to play on Saturday as they face Luther at 10:30 a.m. at the Clark Racquet Center.
