
Senior Kevin Dux's (Boulder, Colo./Fairview) 3-point basket with 6:17 remaining gave Coe a 62-54 lead before the Gorloks answered with an 11-0 run over the next 3:12, giving them their first lead of the game.
Coe held a 36-28 lead at halftime and opened the second half on an 8-2 run, increasing its lead to 14, the largest of the game with 15:23 to play.
Dux led four Kohawks in double-figures with a game-high 16 points. Junior Cass Behrens (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista) and sophomore Dan Borngraeber (Brookfield, Wis./East) each added 13 points. Behrens also had a game-high seven rebounds and three assists. Sophomore Alex Tatman (Humboldt, Iowa/Humboldt) added 10 points in the win.
After shooting 39 percent from the free throw line against Maryville on Saturday, the Kohawks answered by hitting 82 percent from the charity stripe on Sunday. Coe hit 51 percent of its shots from the field, the highest percentage of the season. Webster outscored Coe on second chance points 11 to 5 and bench scoring, 24-15.
The Kohawks return to action on Friday as they face Illinois College at 9 p.m. central time. The game is being played at the University of Chaminade in Hawaii.
