CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe women's swimming and diving team picked up a third place finish at the Augustana Invitational on Saturday. The Kohawk men placed fifth, both in fields of eight teams. 

Anya Gersib (Houston, Texas/Intl School of Beijing) led the Kohawk women with a first place finish in the 200 backstroke, finishing in a time of 2:23.67. She also placed second with a time of 1:06.65 in the 100 backstroke.

The Kohawk women also placed third in the 200 and 400 Freestyle relays.

On the men's side, Ben Potts (Pleasant Hill, Iowa/Southeast Polk) placed third in the 500 Freestyle in a time of 5:20.11. He was also third in the 1,650 Freestyle, finishing in a time of 18:44.59. Potts also swam a 2:01.85 in the 200 Freestyle, placing fourth.

The Coe women return to action on Jan. 10 when they travel to Simpson. The Kohawk men won't return to action until Jan. 16, as they participate in the Grinnell Invite.
