INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Kohawk women scored over 100 points for the second-straight meet, as they improved to 2-0 on the year with a 106-79 win over Simpson.  The Storm won the men's meet, edging the Kohawks 77-67.

The Kohawk women opened the meet with a win in the 200-meter medley relay.  Coe's team of freshman Shannon Loria (Palantine, Ill./William Fremd), Andi Queisner (Fort Madison, Iowa/Fort Madison), Darci Schultz (Decatur, Ill./MacArthur) and Lindsay Meade (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) finished in 2:20.97.  Coe finished second and third in the 800-meter freestyle, as Haley Otis (Des Moines, Iowa/Dowling) was second in 11:44.13, while Nichole Lattin (Monroe, Wis./Monroe) was just behind her in third in 11:44.25.

Coe dominated the 200-meter freestyle, taking home the top three spots.  Kenni Sterns (Longmont, Colo./Silver Creek) won in 2:22.29, while Schultz was second in 2:30.30.  Queisner was third in 2:32.39.  The Kohawks took two of the top three spots in the 50-meter freestyle with Erica Czajka winning in 29.94.  Michaela Meyer was third in 31.63.

The Kohawks took two of the top three spots in the 100-meter butterfly, with Ariana Uding (Chicago, Ill./Whitney M. Young) winning in 1:15.49.  Kelly Strohm (Cherry Hills Village, Colo./Regis Jesuit) was third in 1:28.34.  Coe took the top three spots in the 100-meter freestyle with Czajka winning in 1:06.68.  Meade was second in 1:10.94, while Megan Kroll was third in 1:13.89.

Coe took the top two spots in the 100-meter backstroke, with Loria winning in 1:18.96.  Schultz was second in 1:19.37, while Uding was fourth in 1:20.92.  Amanda Ickes (Marion, Iowa/Xavier) was second in the 400-meter freestyle in 5:36.51.  Meyer finished third in 5:39.23, while Otis was fourth in 5:41.49.  

On the men's side, Colin Conway (Wauwatosa, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) won the 800-meter relay in 12:04.07.  In the 200-meter freestyle, Aaron Buseman (Niwot, Colo./Niwot) was second in 2:25.14, with Martin Benoit-Xavier Guilla (Phalenpin, France/Deforest de Leuarde) finishing third in 3:17.16.  Tyler Meinders (Janesville, Wis./Joseph Craig) was second in the 50-meter freestyle in 26.66, just behind Simpson's Stephen Schmidt in 26.32.

Zachary Ahles (Andover, Minn./Andover) was second in the 200-meter IM, finishing in 2:51.45.  Ahles was second in the 100-meter butterfly in 1:23.83, while Buseman was third in 1:26.09.  Meinders won the 100-meter freestyle in 1:06.88.  Ken Otton (Mesa, Ariz./Skyline) was second in 1:26.34, while Guilla was third in 1:31.41.  Buseman was second in the 100-meter backstroke, finishing in 1:19.88.

Conway was second in the 400-meter freestyle in 5:44.75, with Meinders finishing third in 5:49.24.  Ahles finished second in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:31.75 with Conway taking third in 1:35.09.  

The Kohawks will return to action Dec. 2-3 as they travel to the Grinnell Invite, hosted by Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
