CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe men's crosss country team proved they were worthy of their number eight regional ranking Saturday, as they won the Lamb-Kohawk Invitational. The Kohawks took top honors with 39 points, beating NCAA Division I foe Northern Iowa by 20 points for the top spot.

On the women's side, the Panthers proved to be too much for the rest of the field, as they took the top five spots in the individual field, finishing with a perfect team score of 15. Coe finished in fourth place with a score of 93.

Senior Brad O'Neil (Stuarts Draft, Vir./Stuarts Draft) led the way for the Kohawk men with his second place finish. His time of 25:55.76 was :44 faster than Northern Iowa's Mike Clancy. Lane Moser (Wapello, Iowa/Wapello) and Ryan Schroeder (Byron, Ill./Byron) also recorded top eight finishes for the Kohawks, as they placed sixth and seventh. Moser finished in 27:10.33, while Schroeder ran a 27:19.09.

For the Kohawk women, sophomore Ashley Schnell (Lincoln, Neb./North Star) finished in eighth with a time of 24:09.06. No other Kohawk finished in the top 15.
