STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Kohawks wrestling squad improved to 2-0 in the Iowa Conference with a 40-3 win over Buena Vista Wednesday night. Coe tallied four falls and a major decision as they improved to 4-1 overall. 

Sophomore Clayton Rush (Aledo, Ill./Aledo) kicked things off with a 14-6 major decision at 125 pounds. Rush, the number-two ranked wrestler in the nation, remains perfect on the year. The Kohawks earned back-to-back falls at 133 and 141 pounds to increase their lead to 16-0. Sophomore Brandon Ball (Columbus Junction, Iowa/Columbus Junction) pinned Matt Korinek in 2:17, while freshman Johny Siegel (New London, Iowa/New London) pinned Nick Marcus in 1:30.

Junior Rob Kramer (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) and Mitch Sander (Clarence, Iowa/North Cedar) both earned pins to end the night for the Kohawks. Kramer defeated Kevin Chilton in 1:09, while Sander needed 4:25 to beat Derek Toney.

The Kohawks return to action on Saturday when they travel to the Simpson Invitational.
