Chris Hawkins has been named the Male Kohawk of the Week for the sixth time this season. Hawkins broke a 33-year old school record Saturday in the long jump, as he won the Cornell Invite at 23' 10 3/4" (7.28m). His distance ranks sixth in the nation and the best in the Iowa Conference. Hawkins also won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.24, the second best time in the IIAC and 36th in the nation. He was also a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that took first place in 42.54. The Kohawk time is the third best in the league and 44th in the nation.
Hawkins was also named the Iowa Conference Men's Track and Field Performer of the Week for the second time in his career.
