DECORAH, Iowa - Coe finished second at the Iowa Conference Automatic Qualifier Saturday, as they fell 5-2 to Luther.  Coe advanced to the championship match with a 6-0 win over Wartburg in the semifinals.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Kalamazoo College announced the hiring of Mark Murphy as head women's tennis coach and director of tennis facilities Thursday.  Murphy comes to Kalamazoo College after 11 years as associate head men's and women's tennis coach at his alma mater, Coe College. He has also been the assistant director of Coe's Clark Racquet Center since 2005.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - In the first set of national and regional rankings for the 2009-10 tennis season, both the men and women are well represented.  The Kohawk women are ranked 26th in the country, while both teams are ranked in the top 12 of the Central Region rankings.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - For the third-straight year, a Coe women's tennis doubles team has taken home the top prize in the Flight A Doubles Tournament.  This time, it was the Schupbach sisters (Andrea and Michelle) that went undefeated for the title.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe women's tennis team pushed three players to the quarterfinal round in the Iowa Conference Championship Flight A Singles tournament, with two of those players also teaming to make the championship match in Flight A Doubles. All three Kohawks were seeded in the top eight that advanced.
