The Kohawks amassed 68 points and four first-place votes to edge Buena Vista University (66 points; 4 first-place votes) for the top spot.

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. - After falling 3-1 in the season opener, Coe bounced back for an 8-0 win over Washington University of St. Louis in the season opening doubleheader for both teams. Coe gave up two unearned runs in the first inning of the first game, while stranding 10 runners in the loss.
